The Windows program 'FindComPort' is a small tool made by RT Systems, which helps at troubleshooting USB/serial converter cables. That are all cables used for serial CAT communications and converters to USB. Occasionally it happens that the CAT software does not find the COM port provided by the driver. In this case 'FindComPort' can help.
In any case, please install drivers before connecting a USB to Serial CAT cable to your computer. Should the CAT software not be able to find the newly created COM port, start 'FindComPort'. This program checks all COM ports from 1 to 99 to see if there is a USB device hiding behind it. 'FindComPort' works with all Windows versions starting with Windows XP.
