High resolution spectrum analyzer with LBWS
Ability to monitor the activity on VFO-A. The RF bandwidth Spectrum function displays the task within a range of 25 kHz, 50 kHz, 100 kHz, 250 kHz, 500 kHz, MHz or 2.5 MHz. Select how the CTR (Center) or FIX, to limit the upper and lower frequencies and check signal levels with ATT (attenuator) or, -10 or -20 dB. The LBWS (Limited Band Width Sweep) helps reduce the bandwidth to increase the switching speed.

The 2SC4536 (NE46134) in the design of amplifier series, gets a low distortion and noise RF amplifier, which enables the receiver to operate to the best of his ability in the most adverse operating conditions. The new IPO system selects from the front panel RF gain configuration between four conditions. Select IPO1 to feed the mixer a signal level which guarantees the best possible IP performance. Select IPO2 to eliminate RF amplification.

The unique HRDDS system from 400 MHz for high quality local oscillator
To try to improve management skills strong signals of the receiver, it is essential to have a system that produces an ultra low noise local oscillator signal of the first medium frequency extremely clean. The high C/N ratio of the system HRDDS (High Resolution Direct Digital Synthesizer) from 400 MHz, already used on the FT DX 9000, was also adopted on the series FTDX5000.
New type of wide range oscillator OCXO reference
The OCXO (Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator) by 10 MHz, with a frequency stability at the top of its category, with the order of ± 0.05 ppm over a range of temperatures between -10° C and +60° C operates as the main reference for the oscillator FTDX5000MP.
RF filter variable (VRF)-For frequencies from 1.8 to 28 MHz
To ensure the protection of RF stages, and the two stadiums MF, the filtering system of the input stage uses a combination of 15 fixed Bandpass Filters and unique preselector VRF Yaesu. These two systems of RF filters protect the first stages of the receiver from the overload caused by strong out-of-band signals. The VRF system in high Q has a much lower bandwidth than the fixed Bandpass Filters and is made using high permeability toroidal windings that produce optimum suppression of tuning steps 62 transmission interference or commercial services.

IF WIDTH/IF SHIFT interference attenuation systems worldwide
IF Shift system moves the actual passband higher or lower frequency, eliminating interference that meet outside the passband, but at the same time leaving unchanged the pitch of the incoming signal and the width of the passband MF. The reception can also be enhanced by choosing to restrict the bandwidth of the IF function WIDTH and then varying the passband through IF SHIFT.
Command response to the passband CONTOUR with analog touch
The filters. incredibly effective IF DSP system, can expose characteristics of input signals that you have never heard before and some of these are not pleasant to listen to. The CONTOUR command excludes low-or high-frequency components in order to model the receiver passband differently, or to compensate for part of the average range, with continuous adjustment through the passband.

At lower bands of radio amateurs, high voltages of signals that weigh on a receiver can create noise and intermodulation effects that can cover the weaker signals that you are trying to receive. Now there are three optional tuner modules (MTU-160, MTU-80/40 and MTU-30/20) covering all amateur bands from 160 meters to 20 meters!
The optional DMU-2000 data management unit will improve your performance by amateur radio!
The same information on the functioning and on stations, available with the FTDX9000 Series, can now be easily viewed by installing the optional DMU-2000 data management unit and a commercially available PC monitors (resolution 800 x 600 SVGA analog screen: 1024 x 768/XGA/, standard).
