Tarheel antennas are HF mobile antennas, which use an integrated engine and cover the entire short waveband. The cylindrical shape, lower part of the weather contains a large coil and 12V motor. Located at the bottom are various stainless steel hammers, depending on the model. Included in the shipment is a 6m long control cable ready for use, the cable is fused and includes a ferrite bead to eliminate the interference in the supplied manual control unit. The antennas have a 3/8 "thread on the bottom, the smaller models can be installed directly to any 3/8" connector base vehicle. The small Tarheel II could easily be installed for example on the basis of triple magnets.
The included manual control unit can be replaced by an optional automatic control unit. So the device stores it once you find the settings and can easily recall. The demand sensor counting the engine speed is integrated in all Tarheel antennas.
The M100A-HP and M200A-HP differ only for the length of the engine / coil assembly at the bottom. The M100A-HP features a 30 cm shorter engine unit and is best suited for top mounting on a vehicle, or in any unobstructed location nearby. The M200A-HP engine assembly is longer and more suitable for sidemount on a vehicle, where the unit most contributes to reaching the reel above the vehicle's cab. For both fixed home installations, both antennas are equally suited.
