The MFJ-926B is a reliable automatic tuner for HF 1.6 to 30MHz, for verticals, longwires, dipoles etc. Like the well-known SG-230 this tuner essentially tunnels antennas filaments or monopolies, the antenna connector is simply a high voltage connector. You want to connect a coax, first connect the screen to the ground. The tuner has a range of 12 to 1000 Ω, max. load power: 150W.
Once the chord is found, it is stored in a non-volatile memory, so that a new chord on a similar frequency will be very fast. The tuner uses a Pi network that has the advantage (compared to the L-shaped one) to act as a pass-low additional filter, reducing the spurious emission.
The MFJ-926B tuner operates at 12V DC, no other connecting cables are required. The robust plastic container is also suitable for outdoor use, approx. 365x240x75mm. The minimum required antenna length is 2.5m for frequencies of 6MHz and above, or at least 8m from 1.8MHz and above. With a small fiberglass pole (not included) and a little wire (not included) you can build a good antenna for all bands.
Housed in a weatherproof outdoor box and is shipped with a Bias-T.
